A number of leading Russian athletes, including high jumper Anna Chicherova and runner Yulia Zaripova, acknowledged the sanctions of the International Association of athletics federations (IAAF) anti-doping rule violation.
As the press service of the Russian Federation of track and field, six athletes have signed the appropriate form voluntary acceptance of sanctions, which was ratified by the disciplinary anti-doping Committee of the Russian anti-doping Agency (RUSADA).
Sanctions imposed by the IAAF for doping recognized long jumper Kirill Sukharev, Walker Mikhail Ryzhov and runners Tatyana Andrianova and Evgeny Borisov.
Recall that Chicherova was suspended for two years after rechecking doping samples from the Olympic games 2008 in Beijing. Her sample tested positive for a prohibited substance turinabol. The penalty is calculated from 1 July 2016 and conclude on 30 June 2018.
The international Olympic Committee (IOC) has deprived Chicherova bronze medals of the 2008 Games, after which the winner of the 2012 Olympics and world champion unsuccessfully tried to challenge this decision in Sports arbitration court in Lausanne.
The athlete recently returned to Beijing the medal, noting that citizen is “the wrong country”. Anna admitted that she did not want to exhaust yourself and your loved ones many years of litigation in trying to protect good name.
Zaripova was suspended for four years after rechecking doping samples from the Olympics 2012 in London and is devoid of gold of the tournament in the women’s 3000 meters steeplechase. In her sample were also found turinabol. The period of Ineligibility runner will end on 3 April 2018.
A two-year disqualification Sukhareva will end on October 26, 2019, Andrianov will be able to get back on track February 21, 2018, and Borisov – September 28, 2019. The period of Ineligibility Ryzhov is not specified.
