The head of the Klin district Sokolskaya Alain refers to the statements of some historians that Tchaikovsky worked in Maidanovo. And the Director of the Klin Museum Association Elena Kondrasheva in the local television said that “in the city centre the monument should be, but definitely it should be a monument to Tchaikovsky.”

Note that in the period of life in Klin, Tchaikovsky wrote the Symphony “Manfred”, the Opera “the enchantress”, the Overture-fantasy “hamlet”, Fifth Symphony, the Opera “Iolanta” and part of “Queen of spades”, ballet “Sleeping beauty” ballet extravaganza “the Nutcracker”, the Sixth Symphony.
