2 October in Ukraine are increasing the minimum retail prices for alcohol. Some alcoholic drinks will rise in price up to 20%.
According to the government decree, the minimum wholesale selling price of vodka is based on 1 liter of pure alcohol will increase by 19.5%, or 52,33 hryvnia – up to 321 of the hryvnia.
The retail price of vodka will rise by 49.24 hryvnia – up to 447 USD per liter of pure alcohol.
Thus, a half-liter of vodka will now cost a minimum of 89,4 USD. Informed of 0.5 can be purchased for 79,55 hryvnia.
A bottle of dry wine will now have to pay a minimum of 42 hryvnia, and fortified wines and vermouths will grow to 49 hryvnia per bottle.
The price of a bottle of champagne soar by 12.4% and will now cost a minimum of 89 USD.
Expensive also whiskey, gin and rum – 12%. The price of cognac will grow depending on the number of “stars” on the label: “4” stars will rise to 139.3 of the hryvnia, “5” stars to 151,7 of the hryvnia.
The next stage of increasing the price of alcohol will take place on 1 January 2019, then 9% will increase excise duties.
