Motor fuel in June 2018 has risen in Russia, most notably among all types of non-food items.
As reported by Rosstat (Federal service of state statistics), the prices of motor fuels grew by 7.1%, on gasoline of various grades of 1.8 and 2.1%, diesel fuel – by 1.9%.
In may, the jump in prices for this commodity has hit motorists worse: gas motor fuel became more expensive by 7.7%, automobile gasoline of various grades by 4.0-6.0 percent, diesel by 5.2%.
Statistics of the Moscow fuel Association (MTA) also shows that in may – beginning of June, retail gasoline prices have exceeded the levels 41, 42 and 43 rubles per liter. But petrol stations in Moscow in the week from 2nd to 9th of July they began to decline.
According to the Association, as of 9 July, the average prices for Moscow filling stations for diesel fuel fell by 1 cent and amounted to 44,27 rubles per liter, for gasoline AI-92 – for 1 penny, to 42,26 rubles per liter, AI-95 – 2 kopecks and amounted to 45,70 rubles per liter.
Cheaper fuel prices noted at the Shell gas stations, “Astra petrol station” and “TRANS-AZS”. So, diesel fuel brand is Shell fell 1 penny to 45,05 rubles per liter, AI-92 gasoline by 19 cents, to 42,57 rubles per liter, AI-95 gasoline by 9 cents, to 46 cents per liter.
The price of diesel fuel at the pump “gas station Astra” was down 5 cents, to 45,42 rubles per liter, AI-92 gasoline by 24 cents, to 43,94 rubles per liter, AI-95 – on 2 kopecks to the ruble 46.52 per liter. In addition, the price of diesel fuel at the pump, “TRANS-AZS” decreased by 10 cents – up to 44,50 rubles per liter, gasoline AI-92 – also 10 cents to 42.40 rubles per liter, AI-95 – 20 cents to 46.15 ruble per liter.
The Agency RIA “Novosti” sees among the reasons for the decline in fuel prices, measures taken by the government of Russia. Namely, the Cabinet decision to reduce the excise tax on gasoline and diesel fuel, as well as an agreement with major oil companies that they are on time decision-making about support for the sector has fixed prices on 30 may.
Recall that on 5 July the state Duma adopted in the third final reading amendments to the tax and customs legislation. According to these amendments, post facto legitimized the measures undertaken and declared by the government of the Russian Federation at the end of may. In particular, until December 31, 2018 it is proposed to introduce reduced rates of excise duty on petrol Euro-5 – 8213 rubles per ton (currently the excise 11892 rubles per ton), diesel fuel – 5665 rubles per ton (now 8258 rubles per ton).
